Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman said he expects to keep restricted free-agent goalie Corey Crawford in a Hawks uniform and hopes it's for many years. "He's a top priority for us," Bowman said Thursday in his end-of-season address to media. "He's earned the right to be a No. 1 goalie for us and our team loves playing in front of him. He has the right demeanor and right approach. He loves to be in Chicago. He's clearly a priority for us. It's nice to know going into next year we are going to have some stability in goal."

Stars center Brad Richards said he'll be patient now that the season is over and he mulls the possibility of becoming an unrestricted free agent on July 1, according to an ESPN.com report. "I'll talk with my family and start figuring it out," Richards said as he cleaned out his locker. "It's a little too early to kind of process. I have lots of time. There's no deadline until obviously July. Lots of time to sit down and ponder what's going to happen."
